Rolled oats+ flaked oats question.

Rolled oats ,flaked oats ingredients for a stout - is this a silly question,can i use porage oats? If not what is the difference?:-(

For an oatmeal stout just use your standard porridge oats. You can toast them under the grill for a bit before using them which adds a nice nutty flavour. I also recommend doing a glucan rest with the oats to get the full benefit of using them.
