I started my rhubarb wine 16/06/22 OG 1090, today i have just moved to secondary carboy it is now 998 on 26/07/22. I have just re racked to not let it sit on the yeast and any fallout for too long. So this is how it looks at the moment, I haven’t added any camden tablets yet so a couple of questions.
1. do i need to top up at this stage as its not quite up to the neck
2. when is the best time to add camden tabs and how many should i use for 23l
3. when do i add any finings
I plan on leaving it another month or so as it is then take another reading and re rack again if it’s down to around 994 ish.
Thanks in advance for any advice, Flan.
PS Don’t worry about the grey looking ring around the neck it’s just some condensation from the chemsan after steralising.

Well all the bits are done and I’m onto the next stage now, re racked to demijohns for next couple of months to clear a bit more before bottling, at the moment it’s at .998 which gives it around 12.1 abv. Whether it will drop any more only time will tell. It tastes bloody lovely as it is and I’m impressed with it at the moment but theres still a long way to go, still time to **** something up, so here’s how it’s looking for now.
