I've reused loads of glass bottles in the past. But I was told you can't use green glass - so I only ever kept clear and brown glass.

Is it true you can't reuse green glass bottles?

I have read that green glass can lead to light contamination but how true this is I don't know. Plus I am sure much of the home brew made doesn't see a whole lot of light while it conditions in bottles anyway. But there are contradictory reports about green glass and I'm sure if it was a major issues so many breweries would not use green glass. This is a purely personal point of view I haven't personally tried green glass for beer (I know green wine bottles are fine).
