I opened a Franziskaner Premium Weissbier Naturtrüb today (from a 12-pack from Amazon UK, use by date of August 2025) but saw a 'residue' inside the rim of the bottle.

Are there any issues with this?

I do not recall seeing anything like this in my years of drinking, is all.

The 'issue' could be to your advantage, if you want to harvest it to make a starter.

I've had Hacker Pschorr Hefe Weissbier, off Amzn UK,. All bottles had settled yeast at bottom, but not sure if that means Amzn stored them upright, or just didn't store them for long.

Hacker Pschorr effectively costs you less, if you discount the cost of getting swing top bottles.
But Aldi 'Bierre Triple', French wheat beer 6%, is almost as good. Though, looks filtered, and is perhaps more 'clean tasting' than 'full flavoured'. It's also swingtop, but a fair bit cheaper than HPHW, even though getting 50% more beer..
