Bang on MyQul. I'm definitely not a fan of the brewdog, American hop forward beers but I do like a subtle hint of fruit and citrus in beer and Sharps seem to have nailed it.

Tbh, I find doombar a little bland but quite drinkable. However Sharp's Special and Sharp's Original are absolutely lovely. Like you say, a subltle hint of fruit and citrus but a little more than Doombar. I've never seen them though, in any pubs, outside a of Cornwall

Agree about sharps getting the balance right...forgot to mention in my earlier post that the wolf rock red IPA is made by them too

I used to drink lager and found that anything pale and inoffensive was a good start. St Austell's Tribute is nice, Adnam's Lighthouse and Marston's EPA too.

If you fancy something stronger and more hoppy, Goose Island, Sierra Nevada and Punk IPA are all worth a try. I agree with Chuffer too about Wolf Rock IPA.

Thanks to all above, so far on the list -

Brewdog - Dead Pony & 5 a.m.

Hobgoblin Gold.

Yallowhammer.

Red Kite.

Badgers - Golden champion & Golden glory.

Marstons EPA.

Doombar

Goose Island

Sierra Nevada

Punk IPA

Youngs double chocolate stout

Williams brothers are a favourite of mine (especially judging by my recycled bottles).

My favourites from them:
Joker ipa
Birds and bees
7 giraffes
As others have mentioned caesar Augustus is good but I prefer the ones above.

Fyne ales are good too - particularly Jarl, if any of your local outlets are showcasing Scottish craft beer.

I had a Sheppard & Neame double Stout out of Lidl that was lovely, Tesco do a Youngs double chocolate stout that would probably be along the same lines.
