I thought it was to filter threw grains and not down pipeWell if its going down the centre pipe its just overflowing which is doing nothing other than move the wort around
Better off doing what a lot of brewers do get rid of the overflow pipe and just have a more fluid mash. The only caution is to keep an eye on the level when using a lot of oats.Is it correct not to leave wort go down the center pipe
