My Youngs lager has been in PET bottles in a dark place for about three weeks now, it was primed when bottled and has a good fizz to it, I have managed to get a few more brown glass bottles together and was wondering that if I rebottled them would it retain carbonation or would I need to prime them? I understand some people bottle after kegging, do you reprime then?
Thanks.

I think the risk of oxidising the beer is too great to consider rebottling, I would keep collecting the glass bottles and use them for the next brew :thumb:

Thanks Wez, my main concern was skunking it what with the plastic bottles being clear, will that be a problem if I put it in the fridge?

Nope, the light goes off

Seriously though in the fridge they will be fine, keep those not in the fridge out of the light, a cardboard box or something like that :thumb:

Rob i bottle the vast majority of my brews in clear bottles - i always put in boxes and parcel tape up and have never had a problem :thumb: Its easier to fill clear bottles as you can see what your doing

Thanks, I know it sounds stupid but I don't want to spend all that time waiting just for it to be ruined.
Thanks again.

The only stupid question is one thats not asked. :thumb:
