Re-usable Mini-Kegs?

Anyone know if the mini kegs found in places such as Lidl and Tesco can be re-used?
Iv heard that the 5 litre Heiniken ones CANNOT be re-used but has anyone tried the other brand mini kegs?

We reuse them for personal use in the "proper" brewery, but you need to take care when you remove the plugs, and they don't last for that many brews.

It's not something I'd rely on for home use. I'm not a massive fan of them for anything other than racking bright beer into either to be honest. Without a decent way of dispense, you're risking oxidisation if you don't drink it within a couple of days.

The idea would be to rack into some mini kegs and leave them in the fridge for parties and bbq's...

My other alternative is this which is pretty expensive but iv read good reviews....

Yep, I know a few people who use these and rave about them. I just don't fancy the expense.

9L Cornies are my choice 2x for £65 from norm including disconnects and pipe, and you can get small co2 chargers for about £12 now.

Will last a whole lot longer
