I bought a walkera 5g6 2 weeks ago and have been pinging it off pretty much everything for the past 2 weeks .. What it is , is an extreemly small 4 channel helicopter built for indoor use I blame the purchase on 2 of my friends.
The thing is so much fun I bought a larger heli to use ( play with ) out in the garden on no wind / extreemly light wind days.

Any way since ive pinged my little 5g6 ans its looking a little battered but it still flies makes for a great in house little flying thing I have bought another for when I can fly it properly as it is extreemly twitchy.

Now I suppose I had better come clean the larger heli works the same way as the little one with contra rotating blades 4 channel so it has the ability to fly pretty much as a normal helicopter does it just cant do the upside down thing that other heli's can.... But get this it's AirWolf :D its not as hard to fly as the tiny one infact very easy kind of slugish so to speak but properly controlable.

Once im proficient in flying both my current heli's I'm getting a bigger one .... Ermmmmm I can see this getting expensive  ..

Goto fix the garage before I do anything else though... hehehe

Great to see someone else interested in Helis lol.

I fly 3D competitions around the UK, If you don't know what that is; It's Aerobatics with a machine when it's at the point of Stalling. (falling from the ky)

I have a 6 Channel TRex with a gyro system, The upside down thing as you called it :thumb: It's great fun mate. Are you helis GLow engines (nitro engines) or electric?

Just another wuick question, Are you a member of a club?

All the best. Matey.

SNoop.

Ye're not alone, I ply planes, foam jobs at the moment, I got a small cessna and a 1.4M twinstar, you can see here I strapped my phone to it and sent it up, over me house
I am at the moment sorting out a 36cc two stroke petrol engine and must make a plane to suit.
Great fun

Great vid brew and very ingenious using the phone.

As for my helies they are all electric and generally learner helies ... for the peeps that may be intrested you have just goto get yourself one of the walkera 5g6 jobbas they are just to much fun, Took my new one into work today to show one of my friends who has been banging on about helicopters for a while and let him have a fly and afterwards he was out the door on the premis of going out to do a job only to return about an hour later with one pretty much the same .

The airwolf takes about 30 to 45 min to charge ish and you get about 10 min flight time which is more than enough
The little ones are about 30 min to cgarge as well with about 5 - 10 min flight time

Just be careful of the batteries do a search on lipo batteries and read up they dont like being damaged.

and I have no wind time to charge up airwolf and go for a little spin me thinks :D

Cool heli's D, I only recently got into this from a break of 20 yrs, things have moved on a bit, once you get a good radio system, batteries and motors, when you make ***** of it another kit is small money as you just transfer the bits, there was an election here and I plan to make a plane from the posters, they are made from corupla, a twin layer corugated plastic, cheap fun, I think they are called spad planes or summot, you can put lights on and fly at dusk over a pub to freak people out, another UFO siteing :D

Just been out with airwolf and had some really good hovers and flights around the garden , Im getting really tempted for a larger heli but I know I really need to practase more with this one just so easy to fly. Just a shame it is so light as any sort of breeze buffets it around and makes it hard to keep in one place but it really is so much fun almost as much fun as brewing..... ohhhhh I have an idea i wonder if I can use a heli to drop the hops in the boiler..... Brew and fly the heli at the same time 2 of my past time going hand in hand....

Thanks for the kind comments bru I have just found out that helicopter flying is so much fun I have a nitro T-Maxx doing nothing at the moment as I am having a really hard time getting the rear turnbuckle sorted after snaping the plastic connector on it I have replacements but screwing it onto the rod is not that easy I shall get it sorted sometime soon though.
I do have my eye on a radio set on fle bay going for a proverbial song at the moment 6 channel with recever and servos.

Great idea with the phone Bru
I've got a 3 channel indoor mini chopper...they're great fun :D
I love to put the dogs in the neon blue spot light the heli's got....they don't like that
