Kindly given 6lbs+ of local raw honey.
Anything I should be aware of when making mead?
I know not to boil it before fermentation but should I filter it? Is so, how.

Thinking of adding a little fruit. Strawberrys?

Thanks folks

While raw honey can be used in mead, it's important to be aware of potential risks and fermentation challenges. Raw honey can contain wild yeasts and bacteria, which may lead to off-flavours or even stall the fermentation process.
Edit
Some mead makers filter raw honey to remove solids and potentially reduce the risk of wild yeast and bacteria.
