A recent night out in the Evening Star,Brighton was my introduction to the Saltaire Brewery, one of the guest beers being raspberry blonde. The pump clip went on and blow me 2 hours later it was coming off as everyone started supping it and it was gone. most people were raving about it including myself. After looking at their website it describes it as infused with raspberry flavours. is this au naturel, or raspberry essence or something added, any ideas, i can't believe that anything with that distinctive a taste could come from just malt, yeast, hop combinations.
Perhaps any of you more from their neck of the woods may be more familiar with the brewery and their ales and can enlighten me on the infusion process used and is it repeatable for us as homebrewers.
Cheers OG

Generally it will be an essence that they use. It won't come from the standard 4 ingredients. Quite often adjuncts like orange peel are used to accent a beer style. Nothing wrong with that if that's your thing. :thumb:

Sounds like they might be using a raspberry flavouring.

I used to work in the development lab for a flavouring company.
We used to make all sorts of natural fruit flavourings.
They're usually a mixture of fruit esters extracted from plants or fruits or by products of industrial processes.
