Racking Cloudy Cider

Yes Thanks, I am going to assume that this yeast strain just takes more time to clear, next time I am going to try a Champaign yeast.

For racking, I am just going to put the 7 liters in 1.5 liter water bottles -take it off the lees -and let the cloud subside.

I don't have a siphon tube or anything. I am just going to quickly take off the airlock and funnel it into the water bottles. Am I too nonchalant about oxidation?, do I really need to wait to get siphon tubes :!:
 
If you don't use a siphon you are probably risking oxidation, the cider will splash a lot going through a funnel into bottles. The yeast uses a little oxygen to carbonate the cider, but maybe not that much. it would be safer to just leave it to clear where it is while you get a siphon for bottling, there isn't as much risk that way. you can rack it to a clean bucket on bottling day to make it easier to bottle without stirring up yeast.
