Ah but he was originally Egyptian before working for Louis 111. No doubt that was where he picked up his Scottish accent.
Whereas Mr Mcleod himself had a Belgian (?) accent...

At 90 he certainly had a good life, him and moore for me was by far the best bond's.

Always sad when another great actor goes, rest well !!!

Roger Moore...
Lad works with me cousin was Roger Moore's PA.
He met him loads of times and went to his memorial service at Pinewood studios. Met the Broccolis a few times plus a few of Moore's friends and associates.
He got left his desk top wooden cigar case with cigars left in it!!

terrible shame we have lost Sean, the upside is that at least theres something to watch on telly for the next month whilst they reshow all his films again

Just announced on BBC News.

England World Cup-winner Nobby Stiles has died aged 78 after a long illness, his family has announced. Stiles was a key member of the 1966 World Cup winners and starred during his club career for Manchester United, Middlesbrough and Preston North End. He won 28 caps for the Three Lions
Met Nobby about 20 years ago (with George Best) on a train on their way to do an after-dinner speech.
It was a lively journey!

To save members time searching -

The UK punk scene has been mourning the death of Richard ‘Dickie’ Hammond, guitarist for Leatherface, who died at the age of 50.

Hammond was a well-respected and much-loved guitarist, whose contribution was key to a sound that influenced a generation of melodic punk bands in the 1990s and beyond, with artists such as The Gaslight Anthem and Hot Water Music citing them as a major influence.

He went far too young, did Dickie - an awful example of what the drink can do to you if you're not careful. He was one of the greatest guitarists punk rock has ever turned out, nowhere near widely enough known about, and a lovely bloke from the few experiences I had of meeting him. "Mush" is a masterpiece, probably my favourite album of all time.
