I have a wooden box with a heat belt on a timer laying in the base which i use for second ferment.
question is, it only holds 30 bottles so is it ok to invert the other 10 bottles and slot them in between,or would the wieght of the beer plus the pressure be to much for the caps.

They are all brown glass beer bottles with crown caps.

over to you :?:

.

the caps would be fine however you'll have all the sediment in the top of the bottle making pouring a nightmare and certain of cloudy beer (unless you like that )

thanks pittsy

would there be that much sediment while it fermenting and would most of it not drop back when conditioning?

does the top of the box get warm? if so could you put the bottles on the top then cover them with an upturned box/tub

whole of box covered with sleeping bag so yes that would work fine.
