Many years ago I had a set of instructions (received from "Spencers Hombrew" in Rayners Lane - now gone I think) of how to brew beer in a sort of halfway-house process, not full mash and not kit.
This started with a can of malt extract, involved boiling and hopping and then fermenting as usual.
Does anyone have information on this?
