should i get a refund and not use it?

Make a starter if it ferments all is well and good, if not contact you supplier. Its probably fine, been in the tube for some time...give it a shake...all yeasts clump if left for any ammount of time

yeah, was thinking about a starter. i'm mostly concerned with the condition its arrived in. for the price they charge, im wondering if this is in poor condition- has it been stored correctly etc? my own harvested yeast from bottles looks like this a little bit.

suppose I'm wondering if this is reflective of the temp the seller has stored it at?

there does seem to be a large air space at the top more so than I normally see? but this could just be a active yeast pushing out lots of Co2??

Speak to the shop see what they say :thumb:

If its a floculent yeast that looks fine to me but agree that air gap looks larger than normal. I will check against some fresh tubes tomorrow.
