Morning all

yesterday i set up one of my kegs for the first time having bought the premium set form BKT (https://brewkegtap.co.uk/collections/featured-collection/products/premium-kegerator-kit-2-kegs)

The question i have is, how do you control the PSI.

Yes, there is the twist tap on the Co2 bottle, but thats extremely sensitive, i twist it the absolute minimum amount and immediatly i am at 20psi.

If i the purge and release the gas from the keg down to say 10psi, then give it 30 seconds and its back at 20psi.

Is there a way to control the flow using the regulator or am i just being stupid here?

any advise / taking the piss welcome

cheers

Adjust the regulator, the knob below the gauges. You may need a screw driver.

I will refrain from taking the piss...which is taking some doing.

Piss taking is encouraged.

I'll go have a look at it now and report back, Cheers!

Yep that worked perfectly, thanks!

Only problem i have now is the connection between the Co2 and regulator is leaking, i've tightened it up as much as i can so probably need some teflon tape or something

Yep. PTFE sorted out all of my CO2 leak issues. Amazing stuff.
Yep, just went to the local hardware shop, bought a new washer (was only 20p so why not) and some tape...now working perfectly.

Beer set to 8psi and will leave it a week before trying some!

(now i know how the regulator works, i can't believe how idiotic my original questions way....If only we knew what we all know hey?! )

No need to put yourself down. The retailer sold you an item without clear instructions and compounded it by selling a device that needs adjusting with a screwdriver (a knob would have been helpful) and with a default setting that could put you beer in orbit.

You say you don't mind someone taking the pi$$ with your question, but you probably missed the retailer taking the pi$$ selling you the stuff.
