Hello guys,
Again, apologies for not posting much lately.

My hops from Australia have arrived, so I am brewing this weekend.
I have committed the cardinal sin of having all three of my cornies empty :nono:

I had the pleasure of drinking some Proper Job last year and I would like to recreate something along these lines.
I found out that the beer is brewed using Chinook, Willamette & Cascade hops but not a lot about the hop schedule.

I found a few people talking about this beer on Jims, with the following suggested recipe:

For 25 litres:
5750kg Pale Malt

Chinook 30g - 90 mins
Willamette 25g - 10 mins
Cascade 20g - 10 mins
Willamette 30g - 5 mins
Willamette 30g - 1 min
Cascade 30g steeped 20 mins at 80deg

I will work out the IBU when I get home, but that seems a lot of hops?
I'd be grateful of some input from our more experienced brewers on the hop schedule.....I have no experience of these types and would like to be relatively sure this will produce something drinkable.
I would probably replace 5% of the pale with Carapils and/or light crystal for body and head retention.

Thanks in advance

Hi mark - i`m a huge fan of proper job and will hopefully be brewing a clone on the weekend - i`ve tweaked the recipe from jims a little and it`ll be mainly pale malt (if not all) with maybe a little amber malt and wheat malt -undecided as yet, st austell brewery have cornish barley malted for them exclusivley by tuckers maltings in newton abbot - they call this grain cornish gold and it features in many of there brews - I e-mailed the brewery and they said they don`t sell the grain :( they just use it themselves - however they suggested using munich instead - so i may just use a little crystal or amber instead  .
I`m gonna chuck in loads of hops as this is a classic IPA type beer - the hops on your post give an IBU of around 53 on the forum calc and I was planning on going with the same schedule!

so around 5.8 to 6% and really hoppy! I`m lucky enough to get this in loads of local pubs
