Priming

I am currently brewing a Muntons Gold Smugglers Ale kit, the instructions advise to prime with a light spray malt, so I need to know is this the best thing for my beer, or is priming with Sugar okay, I dont want the taste of my beer to suffer and I am quite prepard to use spraymalt if needbe but at the same time I dont want to waste money if sugar is okay to use and doesn't affect the taste or quality of the brew.. can you chaps please help?

 

Personally I always add sugar for priming, dme is such sticky stuff!

plus you are adding such a small amount it really shouldn't make any difference
