Afternoon folks,

I'm off to bottle my AG#1 today and wondered if anyone could advise on how much sugar to add per litre to prime bottles. fg is .008 and I was thinking between 4 and 8grams. Can somebody reccomend a weight?

Thanks,

DirtyC

hi there, if its an ale i always use 4 grams per pint and works just fine for me, my tea spoons are quite small so works out 1 flat level teaspoon is 4 grams, i primed an ale last week for one week now cold conditionion em,tryed one last night and was primed perfect now trying to leave them to condition, bloody hard thou lol!!

Cheers Tommy,

In the end I used 5g per litre, which is one of my teaspoons.

I know what you mean, I've got 10l of brewferm ambiorix I'm trying to leave another couple of months before trying. Just consoling myself with the excess from yesterdays bottling, ran out of bottles, would be shame to waste it!

well you do have to try your beers out you know only for testing porposes obv lol!!
