im using a coopers micro brew kit and iv just done the first brew , now im going to be doing some stout, when priming the bottles i used carbonation drops which came with the kit and they say use 1 for 345-375ml bottles or 2 drops for 740-750ml bottles , if i can only get 300=330ml bottles or 500ml bottle how many drops do i use or how much sugar do i use. is normal sugar ok or is there some thing better,

you can use normal sugar, or spraymalt instead of your priming drops.

half a teaspoon per 500ml for beer.

if you find though that you're getting uneven carbonation between bottles, there is a better way of doing it instead of just adding the sugar loose off the teaspoon though

basically you just rack your beer to another container as you'll need to stir it and you dont want to be stirring the sediment. boil your required sugar which can be easily worked out using an online calculator, in some water to sanitise it and also because it mixes better. then add that to the beer, give it a stir to mix it in (gently), then bottle from there. This is called Batch Priming and will give you more even carbonation throughout your brews :thumb:
