With my first brew bubbling away nicely I am planning the racking stage. I plan to keg it and have brought a king keg. I take it this will also require sterilisation prior to use? Also I plan to use Demerara sugar to prime it, do I add this before or after filling the barrel and should I desolve it in water first?

Finally the OG was 1071 the calculator said final gravity should be 1018 however I have read that that when brewing FG should be below 1014?? Apart from the Reading being consistent over a few days is there a particular gravity I should aim for? I have brewed the kit short to 24 pints so no FG on instructions!
