I hope one of you can point me in the right direction because I've spent most of the night on Google and can't find what I'm looking for. This maybe because I don't know enough about electric componets to search for the right thing.

So, as part of my control box for the nano brewery I want to have one power in and two out so I can switch between the HLT and the Boiler in the different phases.

Is this possible, and if so can you point me to the right place please.

Depends on what power your system is drawing, but these take up to 16amps and are good for a wetish area.

Or use regular 13amp sockets and plugs.

Are you talking about the switch to turn on the PID/SSR combo?
From your post you'll only be running one element at a time.
The switches actually don't take much draw they simply switch a separate live feed at less than 12v (for example) via the SSR, so they don't have to be rated highly at all.
If this sounds right let us know than we can talk switches ;)

Thanks for the replies guys.

Vossy, yes I mean switching between the two kettle elements, tell me all about switches please.

Tazuk, I was planning on using your single PID in a power supply idea as I'm pretty sure I've got one laying around somewhere.

Simon, lovely setup! Can you expand on the relay and switch for me as I'm a complete electrical virgin.
