I remember the electric going off quite frequently when I was growing up. We always had a bag of candles in the cupboard to light up. I can't remember the last time it went off by me.

I am old enough to remember those times well, we all had electric cookers so meals were cooked on the open fire (which most houses had back then) imagine if it was still like that now no routers, Netflix etc the kids would have to leave the house and meet each other (covid rules permitting of course) those were the days ;)
