At last I am getting stout actually poured into a glass with a nice creamy head. But am having to tilt the keg so the level of the drink is above the tap. I have a king keg top tap with latstock float system. When I sit the keg level and the stout is below the tap level all I get is the sound of gas coming out tap. Any thoughts?

Guarrentee to pipe has blown off the back of the tap. Unfortunately your going to have to release the CO2 one way or another.
Open the tap and let all the gas out, unscrew lid, refit pipe into the back of the tap.
You now have two choices...
1, re-prime and leave to recarbonate
2, Give it a shot of CO2 and keep topping up as nessacary

If I reprimed would I use another 100g of sugar and how long would I need to wait till it was carbonated properly again. Also would this add another 0.5 % of alcohol? The bit that fits into back of tap isnt a good fit it seems a big big for the hole at back of tap any suggestions?

It should be a very tight fit, if not any CO2 produced will come out as soon as you open the tap, and not draw the beer through the float system. There are a few different designs of the float system (this is because the makers of the barrel do not make the float system) F***ing absurd, but true. It may pay you to get another tap and float system and check that they tight before you go any further

Hi, had ther same problem only yesterday, I checked that the float was up the right way and that the tubes were all connected, re-gassed and still had the same problem, i.e a bit of beer and loads of gas. Dismantled the tap and found the o-ring on the plug into the back of the tap had distorted. Now if you are saying that the plug bit is loose it sounds like the o-ring is missing.
