Postal Bottle Swap

Dads @dads_ale sent me a bottle - American brown. It's was bloody lovely. Even my chief taster thought it smelt and tasted lovely. Got me thinking of making my own brown ale. It went down a treat.

Finally got round to trying your BIPA and I really enjoyed it, nicely carbonated and very refreshing. A little lighter than mine I think (both in colour and in roasty flavours) but none the worse for it.

Sorry for the delay in sending mine, it's all packaged up now and will be at the post office tomorrow morning, hope you like it as much as I liked yours

Tried your BIPA last night and what a great beer. As you say different to mine with more colour and roast malt flavour. SWMBO thought it was good too :-D.

I think it is great that we have produced the same style beer but ended up with different flavours, and both beers are top notch and, IMO, better than most commercial BIPAs

I agree that both our beers are better than most commercial ones I've tried, if you get the chance though try a Beavertown Black Betty, its a stunner :)

I like the bottle swap idea, if you fancy doing it again sometime then I'm in, will have a (hopefully!) Nice smoked porter soon :)

I would also say if you want a really bad example (IMO) of how not to do BIPA then try Piddle Brewery Black Hole. One of the only beers I have pored down the sink.

I will be doing another bottle swap in the new year. Really enjoyed it this time. :

I'd avoid the Drygate one as well, very bland.
