Hi all
My question regards post boil hops.
I understand that you allow the temperature of the wort to drop to 80'c before adding. But how long should should you leave it before final cooling?
I have also recently heard of whirlpooling. Is this the same thing or something completely different?
I would be grateful for any advice.

You do not have to let the temp drop below 80c you can do it from flameout to any temp thats suits you
If you put hops in as soon as you turn of the heat it tends to be called flameout, once you put the hops in at a lower temp is is called whirlpool but from a actual the whirlpooling name I think you are meant to have the water in a spiral motion and keep the temp at the actual temp you have chosen.
Me I just choose my temp(usually to do with the amount of bittering I will get) and let the temp drop for the amount of time I am whirlpooling which I put in a hop spider and let the re-circulation pump Squirt the wort go into my spider to give the hops some kind of movement in the wort. If you put the hops in at @ 75c they should not impart any AA IBU's or that is what the reckon, above that 100c to 75c they will add some IBU's
