Hello there you jollie brewers,

Please can I ask you advice .... I did some plum wine in September, I have racked twice, will it clear on its own or do i need to add anything so it is ready to drink around april time.

Thanks in advance,

I would leave it for a couple of months to see if it clears of its own accord, but plum can be a bit of a bugger, particularly if you used boiling water. I assume you used pectolase from the start?

Hi there Moley u star thanx 4 reply. yes did use boiling water and pectalose. folllowed a recipe on the net b4 finding this forum had 22lbs of plums 2 use fast. will leave it 4a another few months till next year now. April looking at. will sweeten few weeks b4. many thanx moley top man E :thumb: :drink:

Hot extraction can be a mistake with any of the plum family, but you're looking towards next April, which is commendable, so leave it until Christmas / the New Year and if it hasn't cleared naturally by then, go for finings.
