hey guys, I have been thinking about trying to do a plum cider and I am a bit lost as to how to go about it.
I think my best bet would be to go 50/50 plum juice with apple juice to reduce the over all tartness of the plum, the juice is going to have to come from prunes however as I cannot find any plum juice anywhere (they are the same beast anyways lol) im going to knock up a gallon to start with in case its nasty (I may well be haha)
the down side if its tasty? imagine getting lashed on this stuff and risking a big fart.... enough said.

so I am going with
2l of apple juice
2l of prune juice (yum)
a butt load of pectolase
yeast nutrient
super dry yeast

thoughts?

Last time I used prune juice in a brew it was a gluten-free ersatz ale based mainly on teabags and marmite...
