Hi guys for Xmas my partner and I got a Youngs brew starter kit, 6 bottles 7 days.

We've lost the instructions......

Can anyone help?

I've got the equipment needed I think.

Thanks

sure , most important every thing must be sterile if not beer will go bad , i assume its a can ? heat up some water in a pan remove from heat put can in water for 5 mins or more to make toffee like liquid(extract)in can runny , boil some more water about a litre or so and add about 1kg of sugar (on another brew after you've read up on this best to use dried malt extract instead of sugar but for now...sugar) to boiling water stir and dissolve boil for a few mins more then add to fermentation vessel (plastic bucket with lid and airlock) open can with a sterile can opener pour liquid into bucket also boil about another 4 litres of boiling water and refill can to swill remaining liquid put into bucket along with remaining water give it a good stir then add cold water upto 23 litres stir very well making bubbles check temp if around 20 ish degrees i you have 1 do a hydrometer reading (place into bucket and record what it says on hydrometer at water level)or less open yeast sprinkle into bucket fasten lid with air lock (add water into air lock to work) leave somewhere around 18oC for a least a week or more . this will do for now ask again when ready.hope this helps

I think the previous poster is giving instructions for a 5 gallon beer kit, rather than a 1 Gallon Wine kit ;)

There are some instructions here

http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/aca ... ctions.pdf

These are for thee 5 Gallon kit, as you have the 1 Gallon kit I am guessing you need to divide all the ingredients by 5. I am guessing though as I have never made either the 1 Gallon or the 5 Gallon kit.

I'm so sorry!!! Looks like I left out the fact it's wine :/ I'm so so sorry! It's hard typing on a phone compared to a pc!!!!!

I've seen these instructions before but I'm very confused.

Step 4 or 5 says make it up to 22.7litres? I only have two 5 litre tubes

:s

Phone or email Youngs. If they're any good at all, and I expect they are, they'll post you some more instructions. they may even have them on their website.
Or maybe your local home brew store will let you open a box to have a look...

If you have not managed to get the instructions, I have instructions for Youngs 7 day 6 bottles Chardonnay and Cab Sauv if you need them. Christmas pressie which I have made and almost drank / drunk ???! If you need them message me with your email address and I will scan them in,
