My hop filter effectively filters my hops.. I did a beer with a low volume (high AA%) yesterday and alot of the break material is in the FV (comes up about a quater way up the 5g fermenter). Is this a problem? This is the first time I have done an AG in my clearer FV so it prob happens alot but I dont notice because I cant see it to worry about it!

You could always drop it into a fresh fv now it has settled or wait another few days and it may have compacted down a bit more and then drop.

Yeah, I am using US05 @ 20c so I guess I'll move over to secondary after before a week?

Sooner is good as you can still re-aerate it. Look up double dropping.

It would be pointless me syphoning it off at the moment as I would loose 15l of wort due to the height of the break. I will leave it 24 hours and see where its at and may consider getting it off the break material. I always tend to have break material in my trial jar after cooling so it is a possibility that I allways have a higher than normal amount of turb in the fermenting beers?

Maybe have a look at your hop stopper and transfer method perhaps. Are you letting the hops settle a bit before running into the fv?
