It's "fashion"....its peddled by so called stars..as is the clothes etc they wear,phones they use...absolutely everything. People who are financially strained will find that looking like something else is more important than actually eating. Like earning £500 a week but will only wear £500 trainers because you need to look like you can afford them...when you can't afford your rent.

That is bang on Clint, to many influencers on you tube, love island and many more. why would anyone like to look like these plastic people you are what you are and somebody will come into your life and you think yeah i can love you for what you are a decent loyal person, it is not about what is outside it's what is inside

I will be totally honest here, before i met my wife of 36 years 2 kids house paid for and a great life, i lived with a what i think they call a partner these days for 8 years. now don't get me wrong she was easy to get on with but was infactuated with living a life beyond our means. this is 1984 anyway i got up one morning and told her not to be here when i got home from work. well feck me i got home to a completley empty flat and i mean empty. fast forward 4 years i walk in a pub one night have a look round not many people in but 2 girls sat in a corner caught my eye so i ordered a pint and 2 halfs of lager plonked them on the table i managed to get my now wifes phone number the rest is history and still friends with Gillian my wifes mate
