IIRC there was a dispute with the Italian factory that made the bodywork. As a result a lot of produced bodies sat out in the factorylot for a long time. The factory was located naar the seaside. Therefore those carbodies suffered from servere corrosion before they were eventually transported to the Alfa factory for assembly.
