Lovely stuff, Marmite. Although it surprises me that it’s ok for vegans.

This explains it -

As we discuss in our Is Yeast Vegan? article, whilst yeast is alive, it is neither animal nor plant: it belongs to the Fungi kingdom, and hence yeast is fine for vegans to consume. The yeast used in the production of Marmite is obtained from the brewing industry in the UK, and given that this by-product would otherwise be thrown away, the fact that Marmite exists at all is a big plus from an environmental perspective as it make (very good) use of what would have been a waste product.

SWMBO is forever telling me i don't drink enough water and i keep telling her it's not something i think about when i am driving we live in the Lake district not the Sahara Desert. :laugh8:
It makes me cross, all these people who are sipping water all the time and people saying you should drink a litre a day. I challenge anyone to find any peer reviewed research that shows you need to drink a litre a day.
Drink when you are thirsty!

It's a nightmare drinking lots if you are a driver as you are forever wanting to pee and sometimes it's not possible to have one, they advise we drink 3 litres of water a day i would rather be a little thirsty than bursting for a pee every hour.

How Much Water Does Your Body Need Each Day?

We’ve all heard that 8 glasses of water each day is best. But the truth is, how much water you need varies. But there are some basic guidelines:

  • For men, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) recommends a total of 13 cups (about 3 liters) of fluid each day.
  • For women, they suggest 9 cups (a little over 2 liters) of fluid each day. Pregnant women should drink about 10 cups of water daily. Those who breastfeed need about 12 cups.
If you’re outside on a hot day, or doing something that makes you sweat a lot, you’ll need to drink more fluids to stay hydrated. The same is true if you have an illness that causes you to throw up, have diarrhea, or run a fever.

If you have a condition like heart failure or a particular type of kidney disease, you may need to limit your fluid intake. Talk to your doctor about what’s right for you.

What is the Institute of Medicine and where is the research that their recommendations are based on?

I haven't a clue i googled "how much water should a man drink daily" and that was one of the results, they all say basically the same.

It was a rhetorical question. I expect there are lots of articles on the web telling you how much to drink, but I bet none of them tell you anything about the research their claims are based on.
