What I don't get with these huge stones is how accurately they are cut what tools did they use beck than to cut them so precisely
Splitting along the grain would not give perfect 90 degrees corners etc.I think the Romans used wood and water. Drilled a hole, pushed a wooden wedge in then poured water on the wedge. It soaked up the water, expanded and split the stone along it's grain
