Pellet hops viability

Hi all

I order my hops online and as it's cheaper in postage to order more in one go I was wondering how long they keep viable in thier vacuum sealed packet?

I order several packets at once, they seem to store well for a good while. Hops are sold up to 3 or 4 years from the date of harvesting, they just need to be kept away from air, light and heat. Once opened I keep them in the freezer, well sealed. I've used hops a year or more after purchase with no ill effects.

pellets take longer to degrade than leaf hops and they will be good for ages in the freezer
