Hello!

I brewed beer in my 20s and then went on to supermarket lager for 15 years....but now I'm back.

Anyway I've just started off a pale ale and I want to keg it when it's ready as it's going to be drunk in one evening at a shed warming party! The keg I was looking at is the King Keg with the top tap and a float. It seems perfect as I'd prefer the beer to be as clear as possible, but I can't help thinking that once the beer drops below the level of the tap it's going to need some almighty pressure to get it out. I've used Co2 injection on bottom tap barrels in the past, especially if the beer was going to be drunk over a couple of weeks, but I'd always figured that gravity played a crucial part.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance.

You won't need that much pressure - not a noticable amount more than with a bottom tap :thumb:

Welcome to the forum by the way
