Hi would like to brew around 8.5L of beer over the winter have a 10L FV, have seen the kits for 20-23 litre and would like to do something like a golden glory clone what amounts of grain & dried malt would be needing or is buy the kit and half easier ? Cheaper ?

To be honest I think your target brew length is too small.

Brewferm do specialist Belgian beer style kits at 10 to 15 litres but you would need the next size up of FV to do them.

There is a thread on here for partial mash / extract brewing at around 10 litres but again the brew lengths are slightly longer.

Good luck with this though.

I have a 15L boiling pan was thinking of just steeping grains & boiling dried malt adding hops just don't know what exact quantity to use.
