Hi all, I have aqquired a new 12L pot and would like to knock up a beer using some specialty grains or a mini mash and wondered if anyone has a recipe they would be willing to share? Ale, lager or IPA all welcome. Cheers!

You can do an extract brew with that pot :) or even do two 10 litre brews into one FV. (then top up with cold water)

Your welcome to share my extract recipe ........ though I can't say how good it is yet.

Apologies if i sound simple but can i assume to do a 20L brew i have to split ALL ingredients in two and do them seperately then add to fermenter?

Yes. so if your using say for eg, 300g of crystal malt and say 3kg of DME and 100g of hops in the first 10L boil you'd use 150g crystal malt, 1.5 DME, half the hops etc, add this to your FV then repeat with the next 10L of water ...... final topping up with water, cooling the whole thing down then pitch the yeast.

More work that way but possibly worth it.

The other way is to make the whole thing in 10 L but of course your wort will be more dilute ........ and TBH I don't know how much difference that'll make!

Thanks for the help and advice!very much appreciated and has given me another option. Never thought of brewing in two batches!
