Have a lot of bottles to clean that I aquired from pittsy. I usually use oxy for stubborn stains, but isn't this essentially just washing powder? Can I use it instead?

No it isn't . . No you can't!

I have been known to use Dishwasher powder on really stubborn stains

Oh...

I've been using this, works a treat!!

It is a 'Oxy' Cleaner so will do the job . . . . It is not a washing powder as such ;)

You can get cheaper In Wilkinsons, Astonish Oxy Plus is one, it's fragrance free (Which is important, these laundry fragrances are designed to resist rinsing)

I use the Wilko one, or morrisons own brand. I just make sure it's fragrance free, but don't get your nose too close. ;) I learnt the hard way

Apparently there are better white powders to sniff . . . Or so I have heard

Oh gosh. I once put a TC in the keg after treating it with a couple of tsp of campden powder. Immedietly drew off a small taster and gulped a good portion of campden powder. Couldn't breathe for about half an hour.
