Out of date spray malt?? Safe to use?

I have 1 kg bag of wheat spray malt waiting to be used only problem is it's dated 02/20 is this ok to use?
I don't want to chance it if it's not.
It's to be used with a standard Wilko wheat kit with wb-06 yeast
What do you think?

It's barely a week out of date, it'll be fine.

You are 7 days over what was probably a conservative use by date, not seven months !!
However if its in a sealed bag it will be fine.
If its not it will probably still be fine, but if you are unsure simply allow it to dissolve in off the boil water (off the heat or it will stick to the bottom) and then boil for a short time after and then use it.

Was thinking the same thing terrym, was just making sure as any man would cry pouring out 40 pints of beer!! After all the hard work

I'm using spraymalt that was made in February '14, out of date Feb '16 and it is great. I make starters and add it to beer all the time. Made an extract stout from it that was great.

I got 25 kg of it for £18 delivered and packaged it up into Ikea zippy lock type bags and it's still free-flowing even in those.

I pay around $170 for 25kg. That's about £86.
I put mine in ziplock bags too.

That's a bargain, but don't think I'd have the balls to use stuff that long out of date!

If you had it in your hands, saw how free-flowing it is, licked your finger and had a dab and then went weak at the knees with all that malty, sticky goodness you'd genuinely change your mind. Especially as you're going to boil the bejaysus out of it, too.

When I bought it I thought oh no, was this a mistake before it arrived. Then I did an extract stout, then partial mash with half wheat malt and knew I'd got an absolute bargain.
