Out of date John Bull Pilsner

Hi folks,

I found an old John Bull Pilsner kit at the back of the cupboard. The date on it is 2009! The tin is bulging a bit at the ends. Is it likely to be usable, or just chuck in the bin?? Thx :)

Sounds suspect.
I'm tight though so if I had the time and space I'd bung it on, new yeast though.

Forgot to say maybe dry hop? To liven it up. 20g of saaz.

If the tin is bulging I'd bin it for definite. With tinned food that's a sign of something growing in the tin, commonly the bacteria that causes botulism.

Don't know if that's the case here but I'm pretty tight and wouldn't risk it for the £10-15 cost of a 1 can kit. Plus you'll need new yeast too.
