Out of date brupaks fixby gold ale kit is it still ok?

Routing around the cupboards at the weekend clearing stuff out ebaying what I can to make some beer money for the winter and get rid of what I am never going to use anymore I came across a forgotten brupaks fixby gold ale kit hidden away. The expiry on the 2 cans is august 2009. Most canned products pretty much last forever regardless, but can the same be said for brew kits? If so I know what I'm doing this weekend

I'd use it....no problem.
I would probably ditch the supplied yeast and use a sachet of SO4 or Nottingham though.

I have recently used a kit BBE 2006!
No problem worked fine ditched the yeast and used one with BBE2010....

Oh one more question... The small teabag of hops/grains, will that also be ok?
