Hi. I have a problem with secondary fermentation. I brewed a pimped Sundew kit using SO5 yeast. I unfortunately left it longer in the FV and when I checked it was reading a SG of 1006. After laboriously cleaning and sterilising 40 bottles I primed with 80g of brewing sugar and have left room temp for a couple of weeks. I opened one last night and flat as next weeks pancake..
The reason the SG is so low was the latter stage of the fermentation I accidently left the heater belt on and the resulting temp was around 24-25 ð for about a week ââ¬â oops. Luckily no apparent off tastes from my mistake.
Any ideas what my options are 1) leave it a couple of months to see if it miraculously conditions or 2) gently pour the bottles into a pressure barrel and some active yeast and reprime or 3)gently pour the bottles into a pressure barrel and force carb as its being drunk from the keg.
Any ideas?
