I wish.

My lads pride and joy x2 he is into the freight stuff, I don't think his trucks (or whatever you call them) are blue.

I read a fair bit, computer gaming and building PCs. Used to have a few other hobbies, but had to give them up (kept poison dart frogs for a while for example...), still have 3 tarantulas though I guess. Oh, and slowly getting back into gardening.

I switched to a vertical mouse recently as I was starting to get pains up my forearm whilst gaming. Pains have stopped since switching.

When I was at school I worked in the kitchen at Dundee Ice Arena and used to serve the Dundee Stars players their post-match lasagne. I’ve not been to see the Stars for at least 15 years though.
Just to show my age, I remember going to watch Dundee Rockets.

I did 2 wolf runs a few years back, wanted to get the special shirt after doing all 4 seasons, but only managed a winter and spring run due to work. Great fun though. Just couldn't manage to keep mouth shut on slide as laughing so much... worse stout I ever tasted!!

Cooking (mostly portuguese food, but also some other things I learnt in my travels), a bit of photography, every now and then, and tinkering my HERMS...

In to my motorbikes, well a Harley and a BMW. but my main interest is rifles, I love my range shooting but I'm also a deer stalker so there is always plenty of venison in the freezer.

Im curious; apart from brewing delicious concoctions what other hobbies do people have?

Mrs Hagrid says I have one hobbies. Collecting expensive hobbies. But when not brewing I seem to get hit with things like hockey pucks (I’m a goalie) and swords in fencing and 15th century re-enactment. This is my armour. :)

I also like to make an absolute racket with drums, guitar and bagpipes when not trying to fix my classic mini!

I don’t know where Mrs Hagrid gets her theory from?!

You obviously don’t know what to do with yourself, you need a hobby! 😂

Motor Racing was an obsession when I was young. With the 70th Anniversary Formula 1 Grand Prix today, did anybody else watch the first one? There was a British Grand Prix at Silverstone the year before actually, won by Baron de Graffenried, and at The Daily Express International Trophy Race for Grand Prix cars in August 1950, the cash prizes were 1st - £300, 2nd - £150, and 3rd - £100, and the driver of the car completing the fastest lap won £20! Honest and true, I have it in black and white in the programme.

DIY for me but I do like to recycle timber if I can and I hate when I go to the recycling centre and see the wood skip full of decent material from beds to tables that can be repurposed for something else though recently I have had my fair share of it and I'm looking forward to going ack to work tomorrow to get a rest...

Been doing this for ages, feeding MLAT and ADS data to various data/centres hosts from the planes.

Dead easy to do, This runs on a Pi, there's loads of different interfaces for the maps.

1090mhz which is what they shout at, and planes shout rather loud! (Good job as there's a mobile tower next to me and it's bleeding over the 1090mhz, mobile tower is at 1100mhz, added an inline filter but still!)

You can do this with just a normal USB TV tuner, don't have to be the official one, I got it as it's got a pre-built amplifier inside it.

One of these, as long as it's cut to 64mm then it'll tune into 1090mhz no problem (doesn't have to be cut but it sure does help)

This is the range I was getting on that little modded one....

So ended up going for a one that is specifically made for the frequency. (it's been in testing for the time being as it's going out side on the chimney soon)

This is the range with this one....

This is that horrible 1100mhz signal, man it's caused a lot of head aches and cost me a fortune on cable, equipment.

and you can do a little bit of time lapse with the air craft trails.....

Does that allow you to listen to the pilot and control tower conversations?

If you want to listen to aircraft and airfields, you can use Global Tuners

I was going to start feeding this from the other Pi that I have but that 1100mhz interference is so bad it's pointless me sending data to that site as all you can get is a little bit of narrow band, and normal FM channels.
