‘Twas yesterday Brew day and the predicted OG of my recipe was 1.054 but I ended up with 1.058. What are the implications of this and is it the end of the world?

I’ve had the same issue many times, and just adjust the figures accordingly, I’m an all grain user, and looking for a simple conversion calculator that takes the og, adds lme to adjust to expected level. Eg, expected 1.048 but got 1.046. I’d normally let it alone, but after reading up on the subject decided to try and correct.

I'm glad to find that your gravity went up instead of hearing the oft times moaning about the other way. This is something you should record. Now it's time to go back over everything and figure out why you picked up the extra 4 points of gravity. Believe me, it never ends! - the unexpected differences. I checked my calendar and the world won't end for several months.
