Hello all. My old Boots pressure barrel has a crack in the lid and leaks gas. I've tried a repair but it no work. At the moment it holds my 2nd AG brew; the stout with no name. It tastes lovely even when flat and i don't want to lose it. If i go and buy a new pb and transfer, do i need to add more sugar to get back the fizz. Am i going to get away with this.

Why dont you pull off enough for a small fizzy pop bottle ,prime that ,squeeze a dent into it before you put the cap on then wait a few days to see if it gasses up,(it will push the dent out and harden up) then you know your yeast is still viable.
