The Olympics needed loads of volunteers for all events

I knew my son had bought tickets for the boxing and judo. Speaking to him on the phone today he tells me he has been given corporate tickets by his firm, hockey and the beach volleyball :shock: so he's going to getting paid for watch those poor underclothed girls would you believe. On the the bright side I've told the wife I will have to watch the volleyball as I might see him on the telly.

Is the men's beach volleyball audience almost entirely female?

I wouldn't know, I've never watched any and channel hop immediately, but it does seem there's quite a gender imbalance in the women's beach volleyball audience.

I've enjoyed the rowing competion's since Sir Steve Redgraves time. I've always wanted to know.... do they have their own individual boats ? (bloody long things to travel the world with ! ) Pole vaulters carry there own. I guess for Olympics they would be team boats.... but how do they know what colour to bring?? :P
