I'm planning something that I hope to be a little like Harveys Old Ale.

My plan is to use for 23 liters:

5kg Marris Otter malt
50g Chocolate malt

50g Williamette 90mins
25g Fuggle 30mins
25g Fuggle 10mins

I might throw in a cup of plain flower to see what happens...

Yeast will be S33 and mash will be 3 hrs at 67.5 degrees..........

What say thee, O beery ones?

What do you class as a plain flower? I know some orchids might be considered more striking than your average daffodil but they all have an intrinsic beauty.

Sorry, I'm drinking to relieve a very painful shoulder and I haven't eaten yet :drunk:

I always geta stuck sparge when I am using up a sack of malt and the malt flour goes in with malt. I would have thought it would clog things up.
