OK - this was my first attempt at the 'All Grain Method'.

I'm really pleased the way it turned out.

It has a strong, hoppy aroma with a caramel, malt, bitter taste. I like the colour (dark amber) and is it very more-ish.

Next time, my aim would be for a brew that is more complex and intense.

Looks good, my first ever non kit was an OSH clone (extract this time) was alright actually.

Quite simple I think I used about 400-500 crystal

extract obviously

and I think it was a mixture of challenger and EKG hops?


What yeast did you use?
 
The ingredients I used are below:

- Maris Otter Malt, White Sugar, Crystal Malt, Black Malt, Yeast Safale s-04, Challenger Hops, East Kent Goldings Hops & a Protofloc tablet
